Cintec Products and Solutions
Structural Strengthening/Stabilization Systems for the Masonry Industry
ConSpec has represented Cintec for over 20 years and has provided anchoring, stabilization, and strengthening solutions with custom-designed anchors from 6 inches at Met Life to 21 feet at Federal Hall in Manhattan. Cintec has been used for almost 50 years on historic structures worldwide even for seismic pre and post-installation including 120-foot anchors at Christ Church Cathedral Newcastle, New South Wales, Australia after an earthquake to “save the structure”.
While high capacity, long custom anchors make up a large portion of Cintec’s business more and more governmental agencies in the US are realizing, just like the UK that resin anchors provide no protection in the case of fire so that shorter “every day” cavity wall anchors made with a fireproof cement and steel body are the preferred solution.
Design services available to the restoration professional as well as training for their internal design staff. Savings in excess of 50% for both costs and time requirements are typically achieved with this system as it is the true definition of ConSpec’s philosophy of SIP vs ROAR (Stabilize-In-Place vs Rip-Out-And-Replace) on restoration projects.
